Division of Architecture and Design

To nurture engineers who can think about space from the perspective of “living”

In the Division of Architecture and Design students engage in cross-laboratory discussions through lectures and other classes, and in seminars, each laboratory develops students’ research and practical skills through experiments and on-site projects.
The division aims to develop human resources who can propose and practice solutions to problems using engineering knowledge, with an emphasis on the viewpoints of occupants to shape a sustainable society and to lead a secure and comfortable life, targeting architecture, housing, community, and urban living environment.

Human Resource Development and Educational and Research Purposes

The Division of Architecture and Design has two educational research pillars of “Living Environment” area and “Architectural Design and Technology” area. There are two majors in the “Living Environment” area and four in the “Architectural Design and technology” area with the aim of nurturing highly specialized professionals in housing.
