Three Policies of the Graduate School of Architecture and Design

Diploma Policy

  • Students will have highly specialized knowledge of housing.
  • Students will be able to analyze architectural housing issues using specialized knowledge and express them in research and design.
  • Students will be able to propose professional solutions to housing issues through research and design.

Curriculum Policy

  • Lectures are offered for students to acquire specialized knowledge and enhance thinking in the housing field.
  • Subjects common to the graduate school as well as seminars (Seminar 1) in each specialized field are offered for students to learn methods of research and analysis and design techniques related to housing.
  • Seminars and practical training subjects related to housing are offered to cultivate students' ability to plan and propose housing.
  • Seminars (Seminar 2) related to master’s thesis and production are offered to cultivate students’ ability to conduct housing research and to plan and propose housing designs.

Admission Policy

  • Knowledge and skills
    Students have basic knowledge of architecture.

    Students have acquired basic methods and techniques for housing research and planning.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning
    Students have a volition and attitude towards identifying housing issues and proposing solutions.
