Three Policies of the Division of Human Development

Diploma Policy

Knowledge and understanding

  • Students will have broad insight into human development and be able to relate it to their own problem awareness.
  • Students will have deep academic knowledge and research skills related to their own specialized field in human development.

Thinking and judgment

  • Students will be able to grasp contemporary issues related to human development and explore them as their own research topics.
  • Students will be able to identify the social role of their own specialized field from a professional perspective.

Interest, volition, attitude

  • Students will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of and interest in human development, actively deepen their research while relating it to their specialized field, and have an attitude of contributing to society with the results.

Skills and expressions

  • Students will have specialized knowledge of human development and methods to promote research, and be able to disseminate their research results to society with rich expressive and communication skills.

Curriculum Policy

Knowledge and understanding

  • Subjects in each specialized field and adjacent fields are offered through which students will be able to gain a broad and practical knowledge of human life and human development.

Thinking and judgment

  • In each of the three major fields of "Developmental Education," "Basic Theory of Human Body Development" and "Nutrition and Health Science,” students will be instructed in the conducting of scientific and practical research on human life and human development.

Interest, volition, attitude

  • While aspiringly conducting research in their own specialized fields of human development, students will have an interest in contemporary social changes, academic developments and advanced innovations, and nurture an attitude of dealing with them.

Skills and expressions

  • Small group classes will be offered with group discussions and collaborative research in order to develop students’ creativity, applied skills, and expressive abilities, all of which are necessary for developing unique research based on specialized knowledge in the field of human development studies.

Admission Policy

Knowledge and understanding

  • Students who can grasp current issues in their field of specialization in human development and recognize their significance in relation to their own research problems.

Thinking and judgment

  • Students who can grasp current issues related to human development, explore them as their own research topics, and recognize their academic and social significance.

Interest, volition, attitude

  • Students who are interested in human development and are willing to engage in research through their own field of specialization.

Skills and expressions

  • Students who have the ability to explore research methods, collect information, and express themselves with regard to human development as required in their field of specialization.
