The Division of Living Environment consists of a wide range of specialized fields. The goal of the Division is to investigate the relationship and functions between people and the living environment that surrounds them, from the perspectives of natural science, humanities, social science, engineering, and plastic arts, and to pursue and investigate the ideal way of life. The Division aims to nurture professionals with advanced knowledge and creativity who can construct measures to deal with today's issues related to the living environment, such as safe and comfortable lifestyles for people.

Human Resource Development and Educational and Research Purposes

The Division aims to nurture human resources with a broad perspective and a high level of analytical ability who can study the latest achievements in food, clothing, housing, and social and family economics, examine living environments from historical, formative, and social scientific perspectives, as well as tackle the challenge of investigating the complex issues facing contemporary society.
