Conduct research for a healthier society by focusing on familiar "food and nutrition" from various angles.
The adequacy of daily dietary habits is critical to maintain health, which is a fundamental element for individuals, and has a significant impact on the overall social activities of people. The disciplines of food and nutrition in the field of human sciences and design are developed centering on the role of “food and nutrition” in overall social activities, and the ultimate mission is to contribute to the improvement of people's lives and social welfare. Based on this recognition, the Division conducts education and research with the aim of further developing the disciplines through working on practical, life-related issues.
