Division of Psychology

Based on highly specialized in psychology and contribute to new developments

The curriculum of this Division consists of the following three areas, and leading faculty members representing each area provide education and guidance to cultivate outstanding researchers and practitioners.

  1. Basic Psychology Areas: Students can learn advanced scientific and objective psychological theories and research methods through subjects in experimental psychology and other areas.
  2. Basic Related Areas: Focusing on various aspects of broader human mental activity and behavior, students conduct advanced studies of the processes of generation and development of the mind and behavior, and explore various variables that affect social behavior, etc.
  3. Clinical Psychology Area: Students acquire highly specialized theories and techniques of human psychological processes, including mechanisms of abnormalities, treatment methods, and diagnostic methods.

In the Master’s program, students are thoroughly educated and guided in their research and practical skills as psychology specialists. In the doctoral program, they acquire more advanced knowledge, and the abilities to identify problems and to promote research.

Human Resource Development and Educational and Research Purposes

The Division aims to foster researchers with advanced theoretical and empirical research skills, and human resources with excellent clinical psychology practice skills, to contribute to society at large by understanding the human mind and elucidating and resolving issues in the modern world.
