Aim to build new cultural studies by examining various phenomena of diverse cultures from multiple perspectives.

Today, there is a need to reexamine the stagnant cultural-theoretical paradigm that is limited to specific regions and academic fields, and to create a new culture based on pluralistic cultural contact and exchange. The Division of Studies on Cultural Relativity aims to build new cultural studies that can academically respond to these cultural trends. To this end, its educational goal is to develop well-educated human resources with steady research skills to pursue the relationship between cultures in various regions and fields, along with their histories, and to cultivate originality to pioneer new cultural values.
