The Faculty of Science trains up the persons who have the ability to solve several problems toward humanity, our planet and society through the quest for truth in the nature.

Creating a world where humans and nature are in harmony through flexible thinking.

How was the universe created? How far can we go in our search for the origin of life through the study of DNA? How can we stop global warming? What can we do about energy sources that can replace nuclear power?
The Faculty of Science attracts students who have these various questions and a strong desire to find answers to them. The Faculty consists of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science and the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences, and students study mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. In addition, they can study applied sciences, including the multidisciplinary fields of computer science, life science, and environmental science.
Today, the importance of science and technology as comprehensive knowledge from the viewpoints of "humanity and scientific civilization" and "the formation of a sustainable society" has been reaffirmed, which means that the significance and role of scientists and engineers have become even more significant. The Faculty of Science turns out highly motivated women in STEM rooted in humanism.
